Join us Sunday evening at 7:00pm in STEW 311 while we discuss Samhain.
The pagan holiday of Samhain (pronounced “sah-win” or “sah-ween”) is the celebration of the year’s harvest and the looking ahead to the dark/cold part of the year. Many pagans consider this holiday to be the end of current year and the start of the next; other pagans consider Samhain to be the end of the year and Yule as the start of the new year with the period between being considered dark/dead/down time.
It is also a time to remember our ancestors; we take time to honor those who has passed beyond during the preceding year. It is said that the “veil between the worlds” is at its thinnest during this holiday.
Hope to see you there!
